Contact Lens Services
Dr. Ringel's office utilizes a wide selection of contact lenses. Each patient is examined carefully to determine which lens is most suitable for them. Measurements of the curvature and size of the eye are taken to ensure a proper fit. Diagnostic lenses will then be applied to refine the contact lens prescription. Some patients require traditional disposable or frequent replacement lenses while others require a more custom rigid gas permeable contact lens.

Our office carries lenses from manufacturers like: Bausch & Lomb, Ciba Vision, CooperVision, Hydrogel, Johnson & Johnson, and Optical Connections.

Ringel Eye Care offers the following styles of contact lenses:
  • Soft Disposable
  • Soft Frequent Replacement
  • Soft Toric (for astigmatism)
  • Bifocal (available in soft & gas permeable materials)
  • Rigid Gas Permeable (including specialty designs for keratoconus or after corneal transplant)
  • Colored Lenses

Patients who are new to contact lenses will be given thorough training on the insertion and removal of contact lenses. They will be taught the proper way to care for their lenses so that they will enjoy the benefits without harming their eyes. We gladly see patient who have worn contacts for many years, too. We recommend that these patients bring their old contact lens information to their first appointment in our office. This greatly facilitates the the contact lens evaluation process for continued contact lens wear.

New ULTRA contact lens option:  more comfort, less drying

As your eye care professional I want to be sure you are aware of any new contact lens technology that is available. I am pleased to let you know that I am one of the earliest offices in the country to receive a new lens called Bausch + Lomb Ultra. I would like to invite you in to be one of the first to try them for yourself and give me the important feedback I need.

Long hours focusing at a computer or other digital device can cause your lenses to dry out and feel less comfortable. When you use digital devices often, it could contribute to lens dehydration. That’s because you blink 60% less when your eyes are focused on smartphone, tablet, or computer screens.

In addition to discomfort you may experience symptoms such as:
  • Blurred Vision
  • Eye Strain
  • Tired Eyes
  • Delayed Focusing

Now there’s Bausch + Lomb Ultra with Moisture Seal Technology to help prevent dehydration that may be caused by reduced blink rates.
  • Features Moisture Seal Technology to help prevent lens dryness
  • Retains Moisture for a full 16 hours
  • Provides superior end of day vision for digital device users

Are your lenses as comfortable at the end of the day as they are at the beginning?

Do you remove your lenses sooner than you’d like?

Does your vision become blurry after spending long hours on digital devices like smartphones, tablets, or laptops?

If so come in and see me! Again, I am one of the earliest offices in the country to receive this new lens and I look forward to seeing if the new Bausch + Lomb Ultra lenses are right for you!
